Easy 5 Ingredient Lasagna | Is this the BEST WAY to make Lasagna?

After having a Greek version of lasagna ( pastitsio ) that is made with elbow macaroni noodles, I saw how this could be used to make a quick and easy Italian lasagna. It became an instant hit with my family. All the goodness of a traditional lasagna without the effort of layering. Trust me....your family is going to love this easy 5 Ingredient Lasagna. Recipe:

1 16 oz package of elbow macaroni noodles

1 16 oz carton of Ricotta Cheese (or substitute Large Curd Cottage Cheese)

2 - 3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese

1 32 oz jar of spaghetti sauce

1 lb. of Italian Sausage or 5 links of Italian Sausage (or substitute ground beef)

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon of oregano

Directions:

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 2 8"x8" baking dishes or 1 9"x12"

2 Boil package of elbow macaroni noodles (you can use the noodles without boiling, but you will get a better result if you boil them first.

3 Brown the 1 lb. of Italian sausage and drain

4 In a large bowl, combine the macaroni noodles, browned Italian sausage, Ricotta cheese, spaghetti sauce, 3/4 of the mozzarella cheese, oregano, sugar

5 After mixing well, add the mixture to a greased baking dish

6 Top the mixture with the remaining mozzarella cheese and place in the 350 degree oven for about 45 - 55 minutes or until the cheese on top starts turning golden and bubbly

7 take out of the oven and let sit for at least 5 minutes, then serve
