Awesome Egg Bites | A Better Egg Bite Alternative

These homemade egg bites are better than anything you can get from the national coffee chains or from your local grocery store. Easy to make, easy to store and easy to reheat. Save your money and eat better.

INGREDIENTS for use with a 6 count muffin pan

6 large eggs

1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream or a generous shot of Whipping Cream from a can

1/2 to 3/4 cup of shredded cheese (cheese of your choice)

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of pepper

ingredients of your choice like - chopped onions, cooked bacon, crumbled cooked sausage, bell pepper, mushrooms, diced ham, etc

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Preheat oven to 365 degrees

2 thoroughly grease the muffin pan

3 in a bowl - whisk together eggs, whipped cream, salt, pepper

4 put shredded cheese in the bottom of each muffin cup

5 add any other ingredients that you wish

6 add the egg mixture to the muffin cups

7 place the muffin pan into the preheated oven for about 20 - 22 minutes

8 after you pull out the egg bites from the oven, run a kitchen knife around the edges of the muffin cups to release the egg bites from the cup

9 serve or store in a freezer bag in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to eat ( egg bites will keep about 2 weeks in the freezer)

TIPS FOR REHEATING

The simplest way to reheat the egg bites is to microwave them for 30 seconds ( 1 minute each if frozen) when ready to eat. You can also reheat for 2 minutes in a toaster oven for a crisper texture.
